General terms and conditions
- Goossens Sebreghts Jacqmain CVOA is a company of lawyers established under the laws of Belgium and having its offices in Antwerp (Belgium). The objective of Goossens Sebreghts Jacqmain CVOA is to practice law in the broadest sense of this notion.
- Any liability on the part of Goossens Sebreghts Jacqmain CVOA is limited to the amount of its professional liability insurance. If and in as far as no payment can be made under this insurance policy on any grounds whatsoever, all liability is limited to the amount of EUR 50 000.00.
- Invoices for fees and costs are payable within 30 days. If payment is not made on time, 10% or a minimum of EUR 100.00 will be added to the amount due, legally and without notice of default, without prejudice to the right of Goossens Sebreghts Jacqmain CVOA to claim a compensation for the actual damages if higher. If payment is not made on time, Goossens Sebreghts Jacqmain CVOA is also entitled to charge from the date the invoice becomes payable a moratory interest equal to the rate as determined in article 5 of the Law of 2 August 2002 on combating late payment in commercial transactions.
- Belgian law applies exclusively to agreements between Goossens Sebreghts Jacqmain CVOA and its clients. The courts of the district of Antwerp have sole competence in the case of any disputes arising from such agreements.
- All provisions of these general terms and conditions also apply on behalf of the partners of Goossens Sebreghts Jacqmain CVOA, the directors of the company and all employees of Goossens Sebreghts Jacqmain CVOA, past and present.
- These general terms and conditions have been drawn up in Dutch, French, English and German. In the event of any uncertainty, the Dutch text is solely binding.
