Lien Kuypers obtained her Master of Law with
honours at the University of Antwerp in June 2017. In 2016, within the
framework of the Erasmus exchange program, she studied for a semester at the
University of Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona.
During her studies, she developed a special
interest in intellectual property law. She then decided to acquire more
in-depth knowledge by following an LL.M in the field of intellectual property
law at the Queen Mary University of London. She wrote her Master’s thesis on
aspects of copyright law.
In October 2018, Lien joined the Bar of Antwerp and
started working at GSJ advocaten. Within the Company Law team, she spends much
of her time on cases relating to intellectual property, privacy, e-commerce,
consumer law, market practices and IT law. She offers private clients and
companies expert advice, draws up contracts and helps with litigation before
the courts and commissions.
