Veerle Wanten graduated in 2018 with honours as Master of Law at the University of Antwerp. During her Master's course she specialised in company law. She wrote her Master's thesis on aspects of insolvency law. In 2017, Veerle studied for a semester at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa, where she developed a very keen interest in environmental management law, including spatial planning, urban development and environmental law.
It was in October 2018 that Veerle began her internship at the Bar of Antwerp, and since then she has been working as a lawyer for GSJ advocaten with the Administrative and Environmental Management Law team, focusing mainly on cases pertaining to spatial planning, urban development and the environment.
